Let’s get wild.

How can we help systems change well? Just ask the bramble, a shrub that grows in marginal and disrupted environments and holds space for the next ecosystem to emerge.

Bramble might strike you as an unlikely hero. But an acorn that roots in the protection of its thorns may survive to become an oak tree. In this way, bramble acts as both pioneer and steward, facilitating the transformation from cleared land to thriving forest.

As leaders, we are often taught that we should be like the landowner who favors order over wilderness. But what if we were more like the bramble?

What would it look like for our teams and organisations to live in healthy reciprocity with the complex places and communities in which we are rooted? How might we accelerate change we need by liberating the innate innovative capacities in the systems around us? And if the seeds of the future we want are already with us today, how can we help them emerge?

These are the questions that guide our work with leaders, teams and organisations. Like our namesake plant, we are a work in – and a work of – progress.

What we do

  • Bramble's programme design is unparalleled, equipping our leaders to navigate the complexities of modern business while championing sustainability and systemic transformation.

Beth Ashman, Senior Global Leadership Development Manager, Unilever

  • The CASH Coalition brought in Bramble to help figure out our shared strategy and focus. We had a lot of ground to cover, as well as the need to form strong, trusting bonds at this vital early stage. Bramble very effectively created the conditions for both.

Chris Jochnik, President and CEO, Landesa

  • Bramble brings genuine commitment to our mission and purpose and all we are trying to achieve, which helps guide us and means that we trust them and continue working with them. They create a safe atmosphere for the team to talk openly and build trust, and are unafraid to challenge, question and probe to get the team moving forward together to achieve ambitious plans. As well as leadership development insights and grasp of human dynamics, they have also taken time to immerse themselves in the organisation as well as connecting with each of the individuals, and this helps us all realise our potential.

Harriet Lamb, CBE - CEO, WRAP

  • I want to call out the role that Bramble has played. We’ve tried at this before and fallen flat on our faces, and I think we’ve become more cynical about wanting to do it… You’ve brought tenacity and real skill, you know what each of you bring to the party, and you play those roles with great humour and wit and heart

    CEO, climate action org

  • A phenomenal course. A timely reminder that we have the ability to solve many of the complex challenges we’re facing if we lean into collaboration – both inside and out. The answers are there, but we won’t find them if we keep looking in the same places, or in the same way!
