Meet the Team

Bramble’s partners are our core. We work with an ecosystem of consultants, coaches, experience designers, futurists, and artists, based around the world from Perth to Medellin, with a hub in London.

Julian is an organisational psychologist, facilitator and researcher dedicated to helping people lead working lives that matter deeply to them, their organisations and the wider world. He specialises in leadership and organisation development, purpose-led strategy and inspiring people to become 'active citizens' in their organisations, communities and systems.

In the 20+ years before Bramble Julian held senior leadership positions at Ipsos MORI, the RSA, Ashridge Business School and Xynteo, during which he led major insight, innovation, leadership and change programmes for clients across sectors and geographies. Grateful that he always had such fascinating problems to work on, he is a big believer in the power of the applied social sciences to understand and improve the way we live and work together. He holds a BA in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from UCL.

He lives in North London with his young family where he is also an active Trustee of a local music charity for young people. He loves running in nature and playing the kind of jazz that his wife and kids sadly hate.

Saya is a partnership builder, storyteller and leadership advisor. Prior to co-founding Bramble, she was a Managing Director at Xynteo, where she also previously held roles as Head of Energy and Head of Resilience. In these roles she helped leading companies build collaborations, develop strategies, and foster the capabilities needed for inclusive and planet-positive growth. Between 2016 and 2022, she served as director of The Performance Theatre, where she honed her passion for building communities and designing meaningful learning experiences.

She holds a BS in Earth Systems and MA in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies from Stanford University. She directed the documentary The Myken Project, sings Alto II and reads books, especially science fiction. Things she is not good at include sports trivia, afrobeat moves, and keeping houseplants alive.

  • James aims to help people and organisations develop in healthy reciprocity with the world around them. Before co-founding Bramble he worked with business and NGO leaders grappling with complex sustainability transitions, blending expert advice, custom programmes and coaching over the last 13 years for a global mix of clients. Latterly he was Managing Director at Xynteo, where he directed Xynteo’s Leadership & Culture practice, including the Leadership Vanguard, a cross-sector leadership development and impact acceleration partnership. Prior to this James was a Senior Programme Manager at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), a carbon and energy analyst, a biodiversity and ecosystem service modeller and a published researcher. He has an MSt in Environmental Technology and a BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University. • The CASH Coalition brought in Bramble to help figure out our shared strategy and focus. We had a lot of ground to cover, as well as the need to form strong, trusting bonds at this vital early stage. Bramble very effectively created the conditions for both.
